My heart is heavy with the news that my very good friend Melonie lost her son early this morning. Please pray for her and her family, they have long days, weeks and months ahead. No parent should ever lose their child. Melonie is such a wonderful mother, she is loving, generous, and one of the kindest people I know. To think of her today as she comes to terms with her great loss and having no way to help, well, I feel helpless.With the news early this morning, anything happening here seems inconsequential. I feel frivolous even talking about our day, but wanted to record it for the girls life-books.
I have a busy day ahead. Homeschooling, dentist appointments, and hopefully some paperwork to fill-out to get benefits for the girls.
I have to get the girls ready for the dentist, but it is 7:30 and they are all sleeping, we do not go in until 10:00. All three get exams today. Kara is such a good little patient though, and I hope she will not be as awful as Meghan is at the dentist. Poor Meghan hates doctors.
Kara has very nice teeth, white and straight (except where she sucked her thumb, she has buck teeth there). I hope she has no issues, if she does, she will need another appointment for that, they will have to put her under to work on her teeth, and that is nerve wracking to say the least.
Amanda's teeth are vastly improved from daily brushing, her gums have receded and they no longer bleed when we brush her teeth. I hope she will be OK, though I doubt it, her little teeth are awful from her grinding them.
