Therapy Mom

As a Meghan's Mom and official "therapy mom" I have participated in hundreds of therapy sessions for Meghan. The treadmill seemed like a great idea, it really wasn't it, but we wanted to help her bear weight on her legs, she did walk at 20 months, so maybe it did help. This year Meghan continues speech and OT as well as music therapy and swim lessons.

As we wait for word from Ukraine about when we travel I think of how delayed Eva may be and how many therapies she will require once home. Makes me happy I had all the "training" to become an unofficial therapist for her.

I saw this today Hippotherapy (clickable) and Therapeutic Riding and I thought that the girls would really benefit from it. I know Eva will take a while to learn to use her muscles to sit and stand and for a while we will be concentrating on those skills. ( we are prepared for heart surgery if she needs it, but are trying not to dwell on it) Still we are looking forward to meeting our little one and learning about who she is.
